Intropia or A Utopia?

Intropia or A Utopia?

When I think of a Utopia I begin to feel happy, as though I am in a place of serenity with a candy-floss pink and cloud-white backdrop. Such places do exist in real life. In fact, on Sloane Square – INTROPIA (no pun intended!) – a womenswear boutique which hosted a party on Thursday 10th November to celebrate the launch of its pre-collection spring-summer ’17. Considering the number of times I have shopped along King’s Road somehow I lost my sense of direction upon exiting Sloane Square station having walked past the store right back around to the station again! “Yikes! I am a Londoner for goodness’ sake” I thought to myself after realising this discreet gem of a boutique is in fact located at the very beginning of King’s Road adjacent to Sloane Square. What was I thinking? Just goes to show, London is full of hidden treasures and like stars it takes a little more attention to realise their presence. Thanks to Nick Ede and his team from East of Eden, I finally hot-footed into INTROPIA boutique for the first time.

What a pleasant surprise. As I walked in I noticed the decor firstly having been comforted by a warm palette of pastel pink and white. What a striking contrast to the mundane winter mood of a wet and cold evening. I suddenly felt overwhelmed with excitement as I noticed vibrant colours and prints from the spring summer collection of INTROPIA, soft textures and “I Die!” accessories. “Metallics are here to stay!” I thought as I draw-droppingly noticed a stunning pair of silver shoes, and a nude pair and a gorgeous sphere clutch bag and…the list is endless, and what is more, there were elderflower cocktails, bite-sized meringue treats, and sponge-filled lolly pops to tease the appetite of guests in attendance. I kept my composure but silently felt like a little kid about to loose control. The sound of the music could have tipped me over the edge but like a true professional I subtly moved my head to the upbeat rhythm of terrific house music by Crush DJs.

There was a moment when a group of models walked into the store as part of a presentation of signature pieces from the collection who then posed against a banner which looked like a huge painting of autumnal leaves.

The staff looked trendy too wearing INTROPIA of course. Overall, this was a great start to the weekend. There were a number of celebrities in sight including Millie Mackintosh who looked sexy cool in a quietly confident way.

I opted for a subtle outfit but I am not one to shy away from quirky detail or lush arm candy. To compliment my outfit, I teamed it with a stunning Chanel bag in gold perforated leather from Designer Exchange where you can buy, sell and exchange previously owned Designer accessories. There is a store in Knightsbridge, London as well as Birmingham, Manchester, and Madrid. All bags stocked within Designer Exchange stores are authentic and in great condition. Such brands include Chanel and Louis Vuitton. I personally love Chanel bags that have a sophisticated timeless quality. In addition, I wanted a bag in gold to bring out the metallic gold in my floral printed boots. Bohemian floral will continue into next season as a traditional trend. So, lots to look forward to including more contemporary fashion from INTROPIA. EUREKA!
